The Los Angeles Lakers made headlines after sending shooting guard Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr. to the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for point guard Isaiah Thomas and power forward Channing Frye. Although they may be gone, they will always have the support of Los Angeles and one former Laker in particular.
Bryant has served as a mentor for the next generation of young Lakers’ players over the past several years. Bryant made it clear that will not change with Clarkson and Nance Jr.’s departure to Cleveland after offering them his support through a post on Twitter:

Clarkson has since responded to Bryant’s post.
precaite it big dawg i got you

Bryant’s support should come as no surprise considering Clarkson and Nance Jr. are some of his last links to the team. The five-time champ spent the final years of his career mentoring both players through his retirement.
It has been a rough stretch for the Lakers’ franchise, to say the least. However, there is no denying that Clarkson and Nance Jr. have been an instrumental part of this grueling rebuild. Fortunately, they now get the opportunity to play for a contender in the Cavaliers. More importantly, they can move forward with not only the support of Bryant, but Lakers fans everywhere.
