My Next Chapter: LA Sports Media

A new chapter officially begins for the Los Angeles Lakers — and myself.

After three seasons, I resigned from Lakers Nation as Editor-in-Chief in April. Many have asked — and continue to ask — what led to my decision. While I am ultimately grateful for the opportunity, my perspective changed during the course of the 2015-16 NBA season.

In my next chapter, I want to further my career in a culture that aligns with my values of accountability, commitment, empowerment, innovation, and integrity. With this in mind, I am excited to announce I have joined LA Sports Media as Chief Executive Officer. This role will allow me to pursue my new passion and most importantly, continue to provide Lakers coverage.

Since my resignation in April, what I have missed the most are the relationships we built through watching the three worst seasons in Lakers history together. What I have been surprised by was your continued support through texts and tweets during the offseason and preseason. It has been extremely touching and these opportunities are not possible without you.

As I have moved one seat over here at LA Sports Media, it is refreshing to build something from the ground up without limitations. My new team has made significant progress since our soft-launch in July and the greatest joy for me will be seeing them reach their potential as individuals and writers. While it will take time to reach our vision, setting things up right from the beginning will give us a chance.

If you have read this far, I humbly ask for your support here at LA Sports Media — a Los Angeles sports network covering the Lakers, Dodgers, Kings, Galaxy, Rams and Raiders.

There is work to be done.
