The Los Angeles Rams have been the biggest surprise in the NFL during the 2017 NFL season. At 8-3, the Rams are currently first in the NFC West and look to be a legitimate threat if they manage to hold on make the postseason.
Under Sean McVay, Los Angeles owns one of the most exciting and productive offensive schemes in the league as they have been able to put up points in a hurry. The Rams face off against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 13 and will have an opportunity to further cement their status as one of the NFL’s elite teams.
According to Kristen Lago of Rams, Roger Saffold is still cautious about playing Arizona:
You can’t count out the Cardinals. This is a good game with a good team,” he said. “Their record doesn’t show it, but they’ve been in a lot of close games that they just weren’t able to come out with a win.”
Last time the two teams met, the Rams were able to shutout the Cardinals 33-0. However, Arizona has since begun to pick up its play in recent weeks and are coming off an impressive victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
While the Cardinals have lost several key players for the season, the Rams will still need to remain focused ahead of another divisional matchup. Another quality win against Arizona should further strengthen Los Angeles’ case as an NFC contender.
